Volume 14 Issue 1                                                                          January 20th, 2012

DEAR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS,

A warm welcome to the New School Year is extended to all parents, learners and members of Staff.  The theme for this year is “Living to Serve” and we encourage everyone to live to this wonderful ideal - “Jesus saved me to live, and I live to serve.” (Anonymous).

 MATRIC RESULTS – 2011

We congratulate our matric class of 2011 for achieving 100% pass rate.  The school has now recorded a 100% pass rate for 18 years. One candidate achieved seven distinctions which is a “first” for the school. The top achievers were:

Noxolo Mafeje        7 distinctions (Eng, Afr, Maths, Ph. Sci., Life Sci., Acc (92%), L.O.)

Valentia Ngobese   6 distinctions (Eng, Afr, Life Sci., Hist (91%), B. Stud., L.O.)

Lerato Matloa          6 distinctions (Eng, Afr, Ph. Sci., Life Sci., B. Stud., L.O.)

Tanyiko Mabunda   5 distinctions (Eng, Maths, Life Sci., Acc (92%), L.O.)

Muriel Ngondweni   5 distinctions (Eng, Afr, Life Sci., B. Stud., L.O.)

Most of the subjects had averages of over 60%, and some subjects achieved outstanding results. Physical Science had two distinctions - which is also a first time achievement for the school.  English Home Language achieved six distinctions and an average of 70%.  Life Science and Business Studies each achieved 9 distinctions.

We take this opportunity to thank our dedicated staff for their hard work and enthusiasm in achieving these results. We wish our matrics great success and happiness in their future careers.

Mr S. N. Shillinglaw

Principal

  • PARENTS, WHEN FETCHING YOUR CHILD FROM DAY-CARE PLEASE DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR IN THE DRIVEWAY.   THIS IS MEANT AS A “DRIVE THROUGH” AREA ONLY.  Please park your car in the designated parking areas, and walk to the Daycare teachers to sign the register and fetch your child.  New signs have been erected to show you the “no parking” areas clearly.  Thank you for your co-operation in this important matter, as it is very frustrating for people when their cars are “blocked in” by others

P.T.A. NEWS

Thank you very much, once again, parents for generously supporting the P.T.A. by paying the annual levy – we do our best to assist the school as much as possible.  After all, it is for the benefit of all the children in the school and we are happy to contribute to the happiness and well being of all the learners.  PLEASE REMEMBER TO USE YOUR MY SCHOOL CARD AND MAKRO CARD WHEN SHOPPING.  It is all towards the benefit of your child.  Thank you parents, for your support.
