Our
Vision
Learning and
Leading in Love and Justice
Our Mission Statement
As the educating
family of Loreto Convent School, Skinner Street,
it is our aim to
establish a Christian Community
based on Gospel
values and the Loreto Tradition,
in which the
potential of each person will be fully developed.
We will strive to
do this by evangelization, example, prayer, responsible discipline and unconditional acceptance of one another.
By setting high
educational and moral standards,
we aim to produce
well educated, mature, self disciplined citizens
who will serve
their own community and their country. |
Mr Stuart Shillinglaw
Principal
Loreto Convent School in 2012 celebrates
134 years of commitment to both Education and the passing on of
sound Gospel Values to all its learners.
The Catholic Ethos is nurtured and cherished in our school, as we
continue to uphold the vision of Mary Ward, the Foundress of the
Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
This was a special year for all Loreto Convents worldwide, as 400
years ago Mary Ward was inspired to open the first Loreto Convent
School; a School dedicated to the education of young women and
girls. Her motto was “ In time, women will do much”- and this
has certainly proved to be the case!
